# Legends

> Legends can provide additional information to make visualizations easier to read.

### Supported Charts

Legends are supported on the following charts:

* Area Charts
* Bar Charts
* Box Plots
* Heat Maps
* Line Charts
* Pie Charts
* Scatter Plots
* Spider Charts

### Configuring a Legend

The legend is an optional component on the chart. Toggle it on and off using the switch to the right of the section header.

#### Title

The title is optional, but when turned on, it will appear above the legend. By default, the title is turned off.

#### Position

The legend can be positioned on any side chart. This section allows you to specify the positioning. The default position is
to the right of the chart.
