# Using Assigned Values

> Now that dashboards have been assigned certain values for attributes how you can you use them

### Labeling for Team Purposes

You can use dashboard attributes as a way to let your teammates know what the
status, purpose, or any other attribute of that dashboard you have created or
worked on.

### Filter Through API for Embedding

If you want some logic to control which dashboards are embedded you can use our
dashboard API to get a list of all your team's dashboard and their attributes.
This way you can get more information on which dashboard you should be choosing
to embed on your app.
